Assistant Professor

Summary of Duties

The Marywood University School of Social Work seeks an Assistant Professor for a tenure track position in its BSW Program beginning, August 2010.

The School offers accredited BSW and MSW programs and a Ph.D. in Human Development with a specialization in Social Work as well as several dual degree programs and certificates. The successful candidate will demonstrate research, scholarship, and have experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Duties will include teaching research and across the curriculum, field education, advising, and related program responsibilities. Opportunity to teach in the MSW and Doctoral Program is available.

Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located in a residential area of Scranton in Northeastern Pennsylvania with convenient access to the Pocono Mountains, New York City, and Philadelphia.



Requirements

  • Educational:

    Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Social Work or related field, and MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, and a minimum of two years post MSW practice experience.
