Special Education Faculty (Non Tenure Track)

Summary of Duties

The Marywood University Department of Education seeks a non-tenure track faculty member for a full time, one-semester position in Special Education for the Spring 2010 academic term.

Teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels; participate in external funding and grant opportunities; participate in service to the university, the discipline and local educational community.

The Department of Education is in the Reap College of Education and Human Development. The Education Department was established at the inception of Marywood University in 1915. Education facilities are located in the William G. McGowan Center for Professional Studies. The department is accredited by Pennsylvania Department of Education and NCATE.

Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located in northeastern Pennsylvania, easily accessible to Philadelphia, New York City, Pocono Mountains.



Requirements

  • Educational:

    Qualified candidates will possess a Masters degree; experience teaching early intervention and special education within K-12; certification in special education, early intervention or equivalent.
