Physician Assistant Program

Clinical Faculty

Summary of Duties

The Marywood University Department of Physician Assistant Studies, in the College of Health and Human Services, seeks a full time faculty member with an appointment beginning May 2010.

Responsibilities include: teach courses in area of expertise; assist Academic Coordinator in curriculum development and evaluation; participate in clinical assessment evaluation as well as skills instruction and evaluation; assist with academic advisement; assist in interviewing the PA student selection process; serve on thesis committees; participate and promote university service.

Requirements

  • Educational:

    Qualified candidates will possess a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or equivalent degree. Although PAs are preferred, applications from other healthcare providers (D.O., M.D., or Nurses with an advance practice Master's degree) will be considered. Applicants must be licensed in their field. Preference will be given to candidates with two years of clinical practice and some college teaching experience.
