The Marywood University Department of Education seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor for a tenure track position beginning August 2010.
The Department of Education is in the Reap College of Education and Human Development. The Education Department was established at the inception of Marywood University in 1915. Education facilities are located in the William G. McGowan Center for Professional Studies. The education programs are approved by Pennsylvania Department of Education and accredited by NCATE.
Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located in northeastern Pennsylvania, easily accessible to Philadelphia, New York City, and the Pocono Mountains.
Educational:
Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. or Ed.D.; experience teaching within 4-8; established research and scholarship record. Preference will be given to candidates who hold certification at K-6 or middle levels and who can teach a combination of content area and/or general methods courses for grades 4-Ed.D.
