Assistant Professor - Tenure Track
Summary of Duties
The School of Social Work at Marywood University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin August 2021. This 9-month faculty appointment with teaching responsibilities in the MSW Program. Responsibilities will include teaching, research, scholarly activities, advising, and service. The School of Social Work is a leading provider of social work education in Northeast Pennsylvania, as well as in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. We have educated more than 4,500 social workers since 1969.
The School of Social Work at Marywood University has both BSW and MSW Programs, both are fully accredited by the the Council on Social Work Education.
Applicants must have an MSW with two-years of post-MSW practice as well as an earned doctoral degree in social work or a related field. ABD’s who will have their degree by May 2021 and meet the position qualifications will be considered.
- PhD or DSW in social work or a closely related field
- MSW with two-years of post MSW practice experience from a CSWE accredited program.
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Knowledge of CSWE accreditation/ EPAS
- An interest in producing scholarly publications
- Desire to secure external funding.
