Marywood University will be participating in the Scranton Reads program to encourage reading and unite citizens of Scranton through a love of literacy. Author of The Things They Carried, Tim O'Brien, will discuss his book on Thursday, October 29, at 7 p.m, in the Sette LaVerghetta Center. In addition, on Wednesday, October 21, at 8 p.m., there will be presentation of the film, A Soldier's Sweetheart, in the Comerford Theatre. Both events are free and open to the public, but you must have a ticket. Tickets are available at all Lackawanna County libraries and at the Marywood University library.
